Hiking Experiences
#prisonisland – Was formerly the main leper asylum for the Straits Settlements (1868), a Quarantine Station (1875), and a penal colony (1969). Founded earlier than Penang Island, Jerejak hides interesting historical sites. The quarantine camp, old church, prison, war bunker, and a Russian Memorial. Take this hike to visit these ruins while helping us preserve this historical place for future generations.
